Appearance:
36 to 48 inches. (Record: 82 inches)
Shiny black or dark brown with white or white/yellow chain-like markings which gave the snake the former name-Chain Kingsnake.
Diet: Other snakes, rodents, birds, lizards, small turtles and eggs.
Habitat: Fields, stone walls, under wood and debris and sometimes in and around homes.
Note-in PA only historic records exist. There have been no modern varified sightings. If you see one-take a photo-we'd like to know. ^__^
