    Subject: Snake Photos
I have complete the PA Snake Gallery for you to use for Identifying Species --to make a complete gallery I had to use a few photos that aren't mine-see the photo credit page for names and sources. I plan to replace these as soon as I find the species to photograph but at this time I felt it was necessary to have at least one representative photo of each species.I will be adding more photos to show natural colour variations as I find them.

    Subject: Elaphe changing to Pantherophis
Black Ratsnake will be changed to
Pantherophis alleghaniensis - the Eastern ratsnake- from Elaphe obsoleta obsoleta.

    and they are giving Western Ratsnake-Pantherophis obsoleta--go figure.. Sigh.....according to : http://www.cnah.org/index.asp

But it's going to take time for the field Guides to catch up.

All the Elaphe with now be Pantherophis-confused yet-I am.LOL!

    Subject: More photos and
I added more photos and some of the photos have stories that may be insightful on animal behavior. Still weeding through photos -added some already are frogs, toads, salamanders, turtles, some mammals (yes I know opossums aren't technically mammals but they're furry so they go there) Please feel free to use the gallery.

    Subject: Scanned Photos
I scanned some of my older photos-you know from film-before digital -LOL! I added some of those of Timber Rattlesnakes different colour phases and I have more colour phases to add.

They aren't as clear as the digitals but they serve the purpose. Also-some of the older photos were taken with a lower quality digital camera-please be patient while I use the new one to take new less "grainy" photos.

Also-since I'm the worst typist in the world I think-if you see errors please tell me!!
